Toshiba  T-01A the Windows Mobile Smartphone featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor now released in Japan.  This is the first device from Toshiba to use Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon QSD2850 chipset.  The T-01A is running on Windows Mobile 6.1 more information is available though only in Japanese at Microsoft Japan

According to Engadget in May 2009, Europe will launch the T-01A in Spain first in a joint venture between NTT DOCOMO and Telefonica rebranded as the TG01.  Will the UK launch this Snapdragon smartphone?  We hope so!

Its was recently anounced at akihabaranews.com that the world’s first 3G HSPDA watchphone will soon be available in the UK next month. The LG GD910 watchphone has Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.1 alongside LG’s S-Class User Interface. It will be available on the Orange network with features which include 2GB memory,260K Color Transflective TFT, GSM Quad,HSDPA 7.2 and bluetooth 2.0. Samsung Bigfoot coming soon to T-Mobile USA?

Rumors surrounding the Samsung Bigfoot as a newly to be released quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G mobile.  With a 1700 Mhz HSDPA band it could possibly be available on T-Mobile in the USA. Asus Eee PC running Android

At Computex Taipei 2009 the Asus Eee Pc was seen running Android OS.  At Qualcomm Technologies press conference, the demo on the Asus Eee PC was given to show how Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform which consists of a 1GHz CPU.  Due to the platforms low power consumption, no cooling is required which allows for use in netbooks.  More information and a video of the demo is available at Tweaktown.

The G60 Nuviphone a GPS smartphone was announced by Garmin early in 2008.  The G60 was due to be released in June/July 2009  but Garmin President and COO Cliff Pemble announced to investors in May 2009  it would be delayed until the second half of 2009.
