Android OS


In 2007 the OHA Open Handset Alliance was formed by a partnership of several companies.  OHA members include companies such as Google, HTC, Samsung, Asus and Intel an up to date  list of members is available at the OHA homepage.  Android has been available as an open source software for mobile devices since October 2008.  The software is powered by Linux and the license is via Apache License,  Google have source code available and information for developers can be found at Andoid Open Source Project.


Samsung Bigfoot coming soon to T-Mobile USA?

Rumors surrounding the Samsung Bigfoot as a newly to be released quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G mobile.  With a 1700 Mhz HSDPA band it could possibly be available on T-Mobile in the USA.
